Details: Accounts

The Details tab displays key information about the account.

The following fields are displayed on the Account Details page:

  • ID/Name/Description: Identifying fields for the account. The Account ID field is used to uniquely identify the account. The Name field is typically more descriptive and does not need to be unique. An additional Description field is provided for organizations that require further description for their accounts.

    The Account ID and Name fields are both displayed in the Account List.

  • Type: The type of account, such as general ledger or division. Type is a required field for account records.

  • Repair Center: The repair center with which this account is associated.

  • Department: The department with which this account is associated.

  • Supervisor: The supervisor for the account.

  • Budget: The budget associated with this account, which can be used for reporting.

  • Comments: A field that can be used to enter additional comments about the record. The View/Edit Text button at the top-right of the field can be used to open a larger editing area.

  • Status: A check box used to specify if the account is active. Clear the check box if the account is inactive to ensure that it does not show up in Account lookups or filters. The account continues to be available in the Account module list.
